5 reasons you should be at the Future of Web Apps Conference in London
[from The Next Web]
One quandary facing many young tech startups is whether to develop native mobile apps for the likes of Android and iOS, or whether to adopt a more platform-agnostic approach through Web apps. But what does the future hold for Web apps? This is one question the aptly titled Future of Web Apps conference in London will strive to answer.
Running from the 3-5 October, the Future of Web Apps (FOWA) conference is aimed at Web Developers and Entrepreneurs and brings together visionaries from around the world to discuss the technologies, platforms and business models for the next generation of Web apps.
The conference kicks off with a full day of workshops on the Monday, followed by 2 days of top speakers and networking opportunities.
Content is king
Let’s face it, you don’t go to conferences for the coffee and buffet lunches. Well, actually, that is important too, but it’s really all about the content.
At the FOWA conference you’ll learn about the most pertinent topics that are relevant to Web developers today, such as HTML 5, user experience (UX), JavaScript, marketing and mobile.
The speakers
What’s good content without amazing people on hand to deliver it?
The FOWA conference has a stellar lineup with some of the finest speakers, including Bob Baldwin (Facebook), Alex Russell (Google), Steve Marx (Microsoft), Dave McClure (500 Startups), Chris Coyier (Wufoo) and Dan Martell (Flowtown).
You won’t miss a thing
After the day of practical workshops, the FOWA conference will run over two days, and a quick glance at the event schedule reveals that it’s adopting a two-track approach – there’s a double-stream of speakers in different rooms at the same time. Some might call that two for the price of one, which is great, but it’s quite the dilemma if you want to see two speakers that are on at the same time.
The good news is you’ll receive free videos of ALL the sessions from both the tracks, so not only will you get to see the sessions you weren’t able to attend, but you’ll also have a record of the sessions that you WERE at. Not bad.
Take to the stage: Launch your own app
The FOWA conference isn’t all about hearing from people who have successfully launched their own products though. If you’re looking to launch your own app to the world, you can take to the stage and do just that.

Networking
What better way to get inspired than to network and mingle with those already innovating and excelling?
The FOWA conference has many networking opportunities spread across the 3 days, and it’s the ideal place to talk directly with the innovators, get new contacts, gain new clients…and kick-start the next phase of your company’s development.
